First Star Energy comes from the humble beginnings in the construction and energy efficiency product business that dates to 1936 and now spans into the 4th generation. It all started with the provision of energy efficient construction materials and manufacture of Rockwool insulation that was widely distributed through Sears & Roebuck and
J.C. Penney from the 1950’s through the 1970’s. Today, the company proudly represents over 36 energy efficiency programs offered through 7 different publicly traded utilities.
